Building Towards the Future

BlackBirds Baseball Limited now Springs Elite Baseball Club, was established in 2024 in efforts of providing Colorado Springs an affordable, quality youth and high school baseball option that truly puts the players first. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit organization with the intent to keep fees affordable without lacking in quality training and instruction. In 2025, we acquired an 8,000sqft facility that we renovated with new turf, 2 50FT and one 70FT retractable batting cage. All of our BlackBird families have FREE access to the training facility as well as discounts on all camps and clinics.

Our Story

The BlackBirds name comes from the incredible SR-71 aircraft that was originally built by Lockheed Martin in 1966, and was known for being a long-range, high altitude, Mach-3 strategic reconnaissance aircraft. With it's slick design, and appeal, along with our location being in Colorado Springs, home to Peterson Space Force Base, Shriever Space Force Base, the Air Force Academy, and Fort Carson Army base, we wanted to represent the U.S. Military and our City. Our logo was derived from the 1903 Le Mars BlackBirds Minor League baseball team. A notable player from that team was Branch Rickey, known for breaking the baseball color barrier by signing Jackie Robinson as General Manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
